Muhannad Sayed Ali is the Head of News Reporters for Syria's Orient News, and was recently names Orient's Istanbul Bureau Chief. As Bureau Chief, he leads the network's interaction with the Syrian Opposition Coalition and its members, also based in Istanbul. Orient TV is the most widely viewed independent media outlet in Syria, reaching audiences throughout Syria and the Middle East. Launched in Damascus in 2009, Orient TV was forced to move its headquarters to Dubai in 2010. Orient is now the leading opposition news channel, with journalists reporting from inside Syria and the surrounding countries, producing in-depth coverage of the crisis for Syrians throughout the region. Muhannad and his colleague, Kutaiba Juha, produced a series of programs on Americans' attitudes toward Syria, the US response to the refugee crisis and US foreign policy in the region.
